I have worked in and around the music industry for over 25 years - as a freelance journalist (SPIN, Vanity Fair, Creem), a music publicist (tour publicity and a campaign for an anti-censorship organization, MIA, w/in the industry) and a music archivist and researcher (5 years at the ARChive of Contemporary Music). For over a decade, my company specialized in representing independent labels (Mr. Bongo, Ample Play, Fire Records, Bedroom Community, Eenie Meenie, Ace UK and others) for licensing in the film/tv/ad world. Currently our focus is on publishing administration for Mr Bongo Worldwide and several independent artists. We also continue to provide music supervision and consulting services for films (If Anything Happens I Love You, Along For The Ride, Waikiki, The Last Manhunt, Celeste & Jesse Forever, Hours & Days, Guten Tag, Ramon, Try This At Home, Tripping With Caveh, Scratch, Clockwatchers, Deceiver, Sunday Driver and others). In 2012 we released our first soundtrack under our digital-only label and successfully used primarily social media to promote the album and drive sales.
